The deadline to accept the $$ for deferring is tomorrow, and I've decided to just go ahead and matriculate this year. I reread my "Why MBA", "Why Now" essay's and I am definitely ready to go to bschool this fall. I'm curious to know how many students end up deferring tomorrow...

IMHO, the only group of individuals for whom deferring makes sense is the "23 and younger" group. These people could likely use the extra year of work experience.
I know this was a difficult decision for you to make. But hey, when you're ready you're ready. Glad that you'll be joining us this fall.

I just found your blog! Too bad, I would have enjoyed reading it through my app process! After flying my sorry butt all the way out to New Haven (I'm in the Bay Area too) to interview I was denied. I was one of those S.O.L. third round applicants. And Yale was the only school I applied to (it was kind of a last minute decision) Next year I'll know better! Keep up the blog thru your first year! I want to hear all about it, maybe your experiences will help me decide if I want to reapply next year or skip out on Yale and focus on Wharton, Sloan and Columbia ;-)
